It seems these days that every group imaginable has an agenda of some sort. The neo-conservatives have an agenda, it would seem, to protect their self-interest by any means possible, including wholly removing the civil liberties of those who have a different view. Sure, one can immediately point to the same-sex marriage debate and see definitive arguments of differing views, but I say that we should take a step back and see the “big picture” as it might be.

Conservatives are willing to fight anyone and anything that opposes their view on anything in the World. Instead of trying to be more diplomatic about opposing views on matters in the Middle East, conservatives choose the “easy” route and declare war on everything in sight. The “you are either for us or against us” mentality was not just a catch phrase that W selected, it is the mantra designed to boost the morale and determination of the “troops”. (By troops, of course, I mean anyone who “follows” blindly into the great abyss.) Wake up America! Do you really think W made a slip of the tongue when he called the war on terror a “crusade”? Hell, no! “Crusade” was the rallying call to all Christians that the time and place had to come to wage the next religious war.

So, if the neo-conservative elements in our society can dictate the terms of our daily lives, why can’t those of us who refuse to drink their Kool-Aid? Thus the creation of the “Blue Agenda”.
